Generations of Verdants have worked Blackstone 359 as a long-term project: slow neutralisation of the soil, seeding hardy pioneer species, coaxing shattered water systems into circulation again. Led by the Fronds That Drink the Raging Tempest, entire clans on Blackstone dedicate themselves to the art of undoing catastrophe.

To Covenant children, images of "First Blackstone", a grey ball wrapped in storm, are bedtime stories. Images of "Now Green Scar", patchwork green creeping across continents, are a reminder that even the worst wounds can heal given time, care, and the right roots.
